How to create an Ecosystem participant
Perform the following steps to create an Ecosystem participant using the Self Service Portal:
Participant details
- Select Ecosystem from the navigation panel on the left-hand side of the portal.
The Ecosystem screen is displayed. - Select the Participants tab.
You should see a list of all existing participants in your ecosystem. - Select the Create new button.
You should see the Create ecosystem participant screen. - Insert a meaningful Name for the participant.
- Use the Country dropdown list to select the Participant’s country (optional).
Note that when selected, this value must match thecountry
value in the IACA certificate associated with this participant. - When a Country is selected, the State or Province dropdown list is displayed. You can use it to
select the Participant’s state or province (optional).

value in the IACA certificate associated with this participant. - Insert the participant’s Address (optional).
- Insert the participant’s Phone number (optional).
- Use the Status radio button to select whether the participant will be created as active.
- Click the NEXT button.
You should now see the Identifiers & certificates tab.
Participant identifiers

Select the Add new button.
You should see the Add new identifier or certificate modal. -
Use the Credential profile dropdown list to select the desired credential profile to define an identifier for.

Add the participant identifier:
- For CWT/JSON credentials: Insert the DID associated with this participant.
- For mDocs:
- Drag and drop the PEM file you want to use as this participant’s identifier.
- Scroll down and use the Certificate status dropdown list to choose Active.

Select ADD.

Add additional identifiers as required. When done, select NEXT.

Select CREATE. The new participant is created.
Participant roles
- Select the Roles tab.
Configure issuer roles

Check the Can issue credentials checkbox if you want to enable this participant to issue credentials.

Use the Constraints radio button and select None to enable the participant to issue any type of credential defined in the ecosystem.

Alternatively, select Constrained to limit the participant to only issuing specific credential types:
- Select the Select button. Note that this button is only enabled when the participant
status is set to
active
. - Select any credential types you want to enable this participant to issue.
- Select the Apply button.
- Select the Select button. Note that this button is only enabled when the participant
status is set to
Configure Verifier roles

Check the Can verify credentials checkbox if you want to enable this participant to verify credentials.

Use the Constraints radio button and select None to enable the participant to verify any type of credential defined in the ecosystem.

Alternatively, select Constrained to limit the participant to only verifying specific credential types.
- Select the Select button. Note that this button is only enabled when the participant status is set to active.
- Select any credential types you want to enable this participant to verify.
- Select the Apply button.

Select UPDATE.
