AI Usage at MATTR
Last Updated: 24 August 2026
At MATTR, we aim to be transparent about how we use artificial intelligence. Our approach reflects MATTR’s commitment to digital trust, our contractual and privacy obligations, the regulatory environments in which we and our customers operate, and the security and compliance requirements of the MATTR Security Framework. This page provides an overview of MATTR’s approach to AI and where it is used.
AI Principles
MATTR is committed to the transparent, responsible and secure use of artificial intelligence. We maintain oversight of where and how AI is used, including the providers and models involved, the data processed, and where that data is stored and retained. Customer Data is not used to train, fine-tune or improve general-purpose AI models without the customer’s explicit written consent. These providers must also meet MATTR’s confidentiality, intellectual property and security requirements. MATTR respects its privacy, data sovereignty and sub-processor transparency obligations, applies human oversight and risk-based controls to automated decision-making, and provides any AI capabilities within its core credential lifecycle management products on an opt-in basis. Our AI governance forms part of MATTR’s management system and is informed by recognised frameworks. These principles also extend to AI providers and other third parties within MATTR’s supply chain.
